WHAT CLIENTS SAY

I've been working with Maria for about two years, and it's been a truly rewarding and transformative process.

Maria helps us look inward more attentively and, above all, more clearly. She helps us perceive our internal processes and distinguish them from what comes from the outside; to understand what truly motivates us, what we feel, and often, why we feel what we feel.

Along this path, I've developed a greater capacity for critical thinking and self-analysis. I've learned to question what is real and what is interpretation, what lies behind a particular feeling or reaction, and to what extent the way I'm interpreting a situation is conditioned by my own history, my experiences, and my patterns.

Above all, I've gained the ability to deconstruct. To not just stay on the surface, but to be able to look at what's behind it. To uncover my internal processes, understand them, and from there, be able to choose more consciously how I want to act.

I feel this work has given me a kind of "glasses" to look at myself more clearly. Not in the sense of having all the answers, but of having better tools to ask the right questions and understand what is really happening inside me.

And perhaps one of the most important things is precisely this: Maria doesn't just teach us how to deal with what we are experiencing at that moment. She gives us tools that stay with us. Tools for the future, to understand, question, deal with, and manage situations in a different way, more consciously and more aligned with ourselves.

It's a process of self-knowledge, but also of autonomy. And that's what, for me, makes this support so valuable.

WHAT CLIENTS SAY

"To be great, be whole." - Ricardo Reis

That's not how I felt when this journey began.

Heavy, somewhat lost, and somewhat broken would perhaps be the best description. I had little faith in the outcome.

I was very skeptical about the process and, especially, about myself within it.

That's how we started this path: with me informing my future therapist that I wouldn't be an "easy patient"—whatever that meant—and that I didn't know if I would be able to truly let myself be guided.

Today, looking back, I breathe a sigh of relief for having found someone with whom this surrender became possible. Someone who helped me remove the stones from my backpack—which weighed me down so much—so that my path would become easier. More fulfilling. Happier.

Along this journey, we traversed different versions of myself and different moments of my life. There were calmer, more cruising-speed phases, but also others that were particularly challenging and difficult. There were moments when I felt I had a reasonable level of proficiency in using the tools I had been acquiring, and others when I needed to go back and look for them within myself, discover them, and relearn their usefulness.

The tools and resources came with time.

As did confidence.

In my therapist.

In the safe and understanding space we built.

In the process.

In myself.

Along this path, I understood that going to therapy doesn't mean avoiding turbulent phases. It means learning, little by little, to navigate them with the conviction that I won't fall.

Today, when I feel a little adrift again, I know I'm not leaving exactly the same place. That I have an anchor and that I will never sink.

I arrived skeptical that therapy could work for me.

And without realizing it, I discovered that what I really needed wasn't someone to give me answers, but someone to hold my hand and help me find my own.

And luckily, that's exactly what I found here.

"We're on this side."

We are and will continue to be...side by side!
